Recycling memories dress

The slanted shape of the dress came from a design project completed as part of my degree earlier this year. I developed the design further by bringing together past fabrics and trims. The pinstripe fabric was part of a big pile of unwanted fabric given to me by Christine Palmaccio, an independent designer I was working with while in my year in industry. The printed Georgette fabric was leftover from my final collection created earlier this year and the damaged vintage ring with gold bird motif was part of a collection of my mums unwanted jewellery, which added a real precious detail. The dress can be worn back to front and with or without the brown pleated cord accessory, which makes the dress look a bit more casual. It could easily be dressed up to create a stunning evening dress.

Mini gift scenes

Starting to paint mini scenes of the view on the walk to work on some old filter papers. Maybe they could be used to make handmade birthday or Christmas cards.
